The Perfect Relief. California. Where Weed, Wine and Foodie Culture mix.

November 23, 2019 By admin

Not at the same time of course.  Disclaimer. Warning. Consume responsibly. Must be 21+ years of age to continue reading.

Our first trip to Napa Valley and driving across majestic California and viewing it's rolling hills, industrial farming, and nice communities reminded us how lovely California is even without the wine and the weed.  Cannabis has arrived surprisingly at the tourist brochure stand found in hotel lobbies.  One of the brochures in the middle is “Your Guide to Central Coast Cannabis”.

Napa Valley is designated a viticultural area.

Getting to Napa from Orange County with an electric car and 3 charging stops took 11 hours through highway 101. Going back on the 5 freeway took 9 hours.

In the morning we eat Brunch at CIA at Copia and viewed the Wine Hall of Fame.

We visited Governor Newsom's winery in the afternoon at CADE Winery.

Cade Winery situated in atop Howell Mountain boasts panoramic views of Napa Valley and state-of-the-art facilities.  Admittedly we were more smitten by the views and LEED Gold Certified architecture than the wine.

Drove to San Francisco the next day and we read some Dr Maya Angelou Quotes

Barbary Coast: The Coast with the Most

Barbary Coast

Our first visit to Barbary Coast is yes it is the Coast with the Most according to their slogan.  The Budtenders were so friendly and the decor and selection can't be beat. Prices were a little high but isn't everything in San Francisco more expensive compare to Southern California?

It took a long time to find a parking garage in the city center where the Coast with the Most is located.  No problem.  It was a nice day.  After a 5 minute walk we arrived to a line in front of Barbary Coast.  Inside we were treated with sumptuous decor and friendly Budtenders.

After visiting Barbary Coast we serendipitously headed to the Ferry Building Marketplace for dinner. This place is amazing. Far West Fungi is a fun store that needs to be in Southern California.

Harvest

Harvest-Inc-Receipt-2019-11-23

Harvest is a medical only dispensary. Whereas Barbary Coast allowed to walk in with just a California ID, Harvest required a renewal of our expired Medical Marijuana Card.  It took about 15 minutes in the lobby through NuggMD and $40 to renew which was then credit back once $100 or more was spent.  And that was really easy to do since their selection and prices were amazing.

Coastal We did not have time to go to Coastal in Santa Barbara unfortunately.

French Laundry. We did not get a chance to eat at French Laundry but strolled along its public gardens across the street. So inspiring to see farm to table at its best.

The tour highlighted what California is famous for. Notorious BIG had it right and some. California is a force in Wine, Weed and Food.

Fatty’s Rosin Roll Review

Fatty's Rosin Roll Review

https://www.fattyspreroll.com

Executive Summary
Multiple Award-winning pre-roll to truly taste and experience each strains unique medicinal qualities.

A Friend and industry professional I was smoking with recently shared a Rosin Roll. After smoking more than half he made the comment of not liking it. Compared to other pre-rolls, he lamented the Rosin Roll was not for him as he wasn't feeling it and the effects was not as noticeable as other pre-rolls on the market. At the moment I agreed with him. But here is the kicker. The Fatty's Rosin roll was designed to truly taste the flower and not be the strongest. The Rosin Roll main selling point is to showcase each individual strains characteristics. From the Flavor and terpene profile and its medicinal qualities. To make this point even more so, each Fatty's Rosin roll has the same strain, keif and rosin as the flower packed. Other competing pre-rolls may offer more grams for the buck. The Rosin roll is uniquely positioned as made for the professional smoker. And I bought into the marketing. There are 20 strains to choose from with each offer a different experience.

The Rosin roll is unadulterated product with no additional synthetic flavoring. This pure product is made to high standards in-house.  Its consistency on quality and availability is admirable.

cannabis + pain

cannabis + pain

plants
make aches less of a pain

Growing pains. Stubbed toes. Bee stings. And broken bones. Pain is that very real, very inevitable part of being human—and the number one reason people visit the doctor in the US.

The fact is millions of medicine cabinets across this country look exactly the same. They have ibuprofen, acetaminophen, and at least one heavy hitting prescription painkiller. That’s just how we’ve learned to care for ourselves.

But as recently as the early 1900s, a stocked medicine cabinet would also have cannabis. It was a staple prescribed by American doctors before the prohibition to treat everything from a toothache to neuropathy, muscle spasticity to pain from childbirth.

Despite a lack of science way back then, the first recorded use of cannabis for pain treatment was in China in 2737 B.C.. Civilizations have been using it for thousands of years.

Today the science is there. We understand how cannabis works—that the body has a network of receptors that interact directly with cannabis compounds like CBD and THC (and terpenes!). We know that when these receptors are met with the right compounds found in the plant, they can actually modulate pain in the body at a fundamental level.

Roughly 50 million Americans are disabled by chronic pain right this very moment. Pain is not something any of us chose, but how we manage it—that's a choice.
